Bigelow Cemetery

This cemetery was first copied on 23 May 1976 by Tom Sikes and then on 1 December 2000 by Barbara Crissman and Kathy Balistreri. The cemetery was surveyed again on 31 Mar 2005 by Ann Staley and Ray Oliver to clarify items for this publication. The row numbers were arbitrarily assigned at that time based on how the cemetery was entered and are provided for orientation only. The cemetery was again partially surveyed by Ann Staley and Paul Staley on 19 Oct 2006 to clarify some dates and to acquire a few more photographs.

The tombstone photography was originally completed by Barbara Crissman on 3 Jan 2004. Additional photographs were taken by Ann Staley and Rae Oliver at a later time.

Directions: From the Arlington Expressway (Alt 90), take University Blvd. north for approximately one mile; turn left onto Floral Bluff Road. The cemetery is located one-half block pass Catlin Street in a fenced-in yard on the left.

The surviving stones indicate that interments were as early as 1840. The cemetery is in Township 2, South, Range 27, East, Section 9, is on the Arlington USGS Map, and is a private family cemetery.
